Our
Memphis trip November 2007:

Beale Street , Memphis is acknowledged as home of the blues but it became second home to our 11 strong band of music fans on our recent four day trip.
How much music can you pack into a long weekend? Answer - a lot. We saw and heard a huge variety of polished acts ranging from blues to hiphop, zydeco to soul.
Our group made the pilgrimage to Graceland , home of the King, Sun Studios where Elvis began his career, blues legend B.B. King's nightclub on Beale Street , the Rum Boogie Cafe, and an assortment of other music bars along Beale Street .
"We saw some really hot guitarists, and horn sections and hopefully picked up some good tips" said Jeff who was making a return visit.
Our merry band also toured the Gibson guitar factory seeing the three weeks of handcrafted expertise which goes into the making of a Gibson and made an extended visit to The Guitar whatever it was called where everyone had the chance of trying out some classics.
Sights and sounds of Memphis included southern delicacies such as biscuits and gravy for breakfast, with Dick ....'s accurate description as scones with cream of mushroom soup, fried catfish, and chicken and ribs. Some of the group also found the uniforms of waitresses employed at the Flying Saucer quite interesting too.
Topp tours is now considering a visit to Chicago next year if enough interest is forthcoming.
